The trouble is Judges are being guided in part by the Equal Treatment Bench Book (ETBB) which was initially created to give Judges guidance on how to treat protected characteristics eg someone with a specific disability who might act in a way that might appear rude and agitated in their tone of voice, in the court process, but is actually a sign of stress and anxiety and a symptom of their specific disability. The Judges would take that into account and not penalise the individual before them eg in their ruling.

However, the added Trans section has been written by Trans activists and Trans Judges (because AGP is a very middle-class paraphilia for the most part). So they set the narrative and provide the guidance to other Judges who have no clue about this trans stuff. Like everything else about this Trans situation, it has been taken to the extremes and to another level that no-one could have ever envisaged. Scarlett Blake is but one of many examples.

This is what happens when you have a ‘live and let live’ society. The boundaries are forever being pushed. Paraphilias should have been legally restricted to private activity and not allowed to be forced on the general public. Men should never have been allowed to call themselves ‘women’ and vice versa or to change their bodies to further pursue this psychologically deviant and unnatural fantasy via self ID and frankensteinesque medicalisation, or not. This is the result.

thank you. this is a massive issue here in new zealand too. with media, courts and government statistics departments treating crimes committed by men as women's if the man is in his lady feelings. the ramifications of these government sanctioned lies in terms of shaping public attitudes, policy making and resource allocation will be disastrous.

I did notice that the original online reporting from the Met made no mention at all of Blake being anything other than a woman. I checked back later in the day and there was an additional comment re Blake being a transgender.

There surely needs to be clarity in the reporting . Apparently it’s fine to mention the cat in a blender incident as an indicator of the psychological state but the gender dysphoria was not worth a consideration.

It is ironic that the BBC went on a disinformation mission fronted by Marianna Spring as their Disinformation Correspondent and then quietly forget all about it regarding the transgender lobby and their blatant lies. Poor old Justin Webb must wonder if he is coming or going! This is the minefield created when a state broadcaster seeks to become the arbiter of truth.

We are seeing the latent misogyny across a variety of male-dominated institutions -- police and legislature, print and broadcast media -- grant itself licence to express itself freely and legally: as a gesture of open contempt for women by indulging the "gender identity" pretensions of violent male sexual fetishists.

Truth no longer matters: only regaining male dominance -- it has been suggested, as a backlash against the "Me Too" movement.

This is not a contest, but I often hear British feminists comment that this sort of trend comes from the US, and is worse in the US. But I am pretty sure that US media would have named the fact that this person identified as trans, and there would be none of the official censuring from a governmental authority for identifying someone as their original sex. And we’ve never gotten close to anything like self ID. So I wonder where the concept that the US is leading us down this path comes from…other than a general tendency to blame us because we usually are the culprits of culture takeover?

Absolutely stunning. The willingness of people to indulge the rank idiocy of trans ideology just blows my mind.
