I am looking forward to Julie's book but ............
I would love to see an Australian historian and scholar like Shirleene Robinson do an Australian lesbian history. Susan Hawthorne has done some good things and there are a few pieces of journalism scattered here and there. Sue Jackson has put the papers of the first Lesbian Action Group (late '70s to early '80s) in the Women's Liberation archives at Melbourne University. Surely there are unknown or untapped resources elsewhere too.We need an Australian lesbian philanthropist to make a research and writing grant for this to be achieved.
Our history holds enough extraordinary women and social importance for this to be a remarkable piece of work.

How I miss the days when everything was in black and white.
Lovely photo - all those young fresh faces, fab glasses and great hairstyles!
Oh my absolute god Bindel, you had it going on (and still do).
