I am reglarly sending letters to my Labour MP and sent one to KS recently too. I havent yet left the party but have no enthusiasm at all.
Where exactly do we stand as women now with Labour? What can we do? The BBC doesn't help us either.
The thing that scares me a bit is that I don't relate to strident Feminism either any more. Sure I'll acknowledge the patriarchy but I'm not a terf and I don't want to be shouting at men in dresses.
I just want common sense and women's rights to be upheld. And fairness for trans people, and decent mental health services for all; but not at the expense of women. Like the majority of the population it seems!
Is Wes Streetings ost -Cass apology genuine? That one could maybe go in the timeline....We have to build on the positive. But I have never felt so politically homeless. I don't trust most of them either.
Lyn if Starmer was a smarter politician he would do as Wes Streeting has done and make heartfelt apology expressing regret for what he has said and done. Now I don’t know if Wes is sincere but it has sent out a message that he is the better more courageous man and more astute politician. Which would you rather have as a PM? Watch out Starmer your days are numbered.
Jan 29, 2024 Telegraph reported an interview in which he mistakenly said he had two sons. I don’t trust him because he changes opinions with the wind but this was obviously a slip of the tongue in the stress of the moment.
Not long ago he definitely said on mainstream media that he has 2 son's/boys. That is why the previous commenter said what they did. We all know that originally he's been quoted as saying he had a son & daughter. It is extremely confusing when this person says one thing one day about his kids, and another on another day.
