We need more female carpenters, plumbers, gasfitters and electricians to do the "men's work" in female-only spaces. But such women first have to survive the ordeal of training with men who will do their worst (belittling, undermining, disparaging) to drive women out.

Stonewater Housing which is buying up specialist refuges and turning them into mixed-sex housing have taken over the women's refuge in Brighton. This will be a magnet for abusers.

Perhaps JKRowling might consider funding a females-only refuge in Brighton, like Beira in Edinburgh. And if not, it might have to be crowdfunded.
