Dah! The "sexual revolution" was promoted by men to exploit women sexully and economically. It was submitted to by women desperate for male approval and women who subscribed to the sexual ideology of hetro and gay males who never dealt with pregnancy or smear campaigns to label women as whores. It did incredible damage to women's autonomy and severed their ability to forge a future. This has been known for decades! This pandering, capitulating to male's definition of sexuality ignores, and misconstrues women's evolution as mothers ( whether we actually reproduce or not).

The Sexual Revolution benefitted men, but not only men. I do think women benefitted from it in some ways too. I don't think the Sexual Revolution was entirely negative. I think some, probably a lot, of good things came out of it as well.
The sexual revolution never actually happened among gay males since gay male culture was already "free" of traditional restraints. The result was, and is, high rates of promiscuity, sexually-transmitted disease, anxiety, and loneliness. The twin currencies of youth and beauty that so dominate gay male culture were denied to many gay men, especially as they aged.
