I don’t like Pride because I don’t feel it’s safe for some gays and, especially, for lesbians like me. Any of us who challenge or question Gender Theory have been deemed TERFS by trans activists and their LGBTQ+ supporters, silenced and deplatformed. We are not welcome at Pride for our divergent beliefs and this is evident as signs are posted at gay establishments saying such things as “TERFs not welcome”. I’ve seen enough: from physical attacks on gays, lesbians and feminists by trans activists and their supporters, to public displays of sexual fetishes which I personally find distasteful, to signs calling for “death to TERFs”. I’ve been spit at and shouted down by too many blue haired “queers” to know when it’s time to walk away.
As for 🇨🇦, I think we’re one of the worst of the nations to have indoctrinated the philosophical belief of gender ideology into society and law. Australians may want to challenge me on that status. I don’t find it “annoying”, I find it repulsive that freedom of speech and belief appear to have fallen in a democracy and that it can be deemed a hate crime here or grounds for suing or firing someone for saying “I do not believe trans woman are woman” or donning a banner, as Amy Hamm, did that says “I ❤️ JK Rowling”.
Don’t get me started on the bad aesthetics but what is up with the new “progress flag”? It offends my gay eyes and colour sensibilities as an artist. I suspect some straight “trans” person designed this and not the gays. Horrible. As are the dancing unicorns and “pups” which I assume were invited to welcome children.
Do you like Pride? I hate to rain on anyone’s parade so if others feel it’s super fun and inclusive, do go.
I rejected Pride in 2018 when corporate representatives were all over the event in London. I thought 'what is the point of all these hetero allies?'. Wasn't even about the TQ as I wasn't really aware of that at the time. I have avoided ever since. Cannot bear the entire thing.
Wonderful conversation!! ....and VERY welcome laughs!!! :) YES!! We are HUMAN BEINGS first and foremost....our same sex relationships (...or opposite sex relationships)...are not the whole story by any measure. The general 'LOOK AT ME!!' culture that has grown so prevalent in the last decades is so shallow and tiresome especially when we look around at all the REAL work that we all need to do to relieve the REAL pain and suffering we see all around us.
Hi Julie, I watched your conversation with Douglas Murray about the LBTQ soup.
Whats gone wrong is that all this is far too abstract. The assumption is that there is some single evil out there, which is the ultimate cause of all victimhood. So all discrimination around sexuality should come together in this soup. The favorite evil on the Left is capitalism, but its a bit hard to see why capitalism engages in discrimination, since this last disables people and makes them less employable, and thereby less use as sources of profit.
Your position is that lesbians have particular problems that nobody else has the right to tell you(plural) how to handle. This thing has become controversial because the L's if I understand correctly don't want sexual interaction with someone born with a male body. So you singular and plural are accused of being transphobic.
Watching your discussion earlier today I wondered whether the allegation of transphobism against you, isn't like the way Mr Netanyahu easily accuses anyone of anti-semitism. Maybe your trans accusers would be discomforted if you noted how similar is their use of transphobic on you, is to Mr Netanyahu's easy usage?. Maybe call them call them the trans-Netanyahus?
Being Jewish myself, I feel free to make this suggestion.
Hi Julie, I've just been reading your new book about lesbians, it's so good. However, I would like to point one small error out : you mention the case of Ellie Mae & say that she was beaten by a gang of men. But she was actually beaten by 2 teen girls.
My best friend lives in WEHO & he NEVER goes, he has other stuff to do & he is sick of how that city is turning into trans town. Most of the gay men I know don't attend at all, they have jobs & other stuff going on in their lives.
Happy narcissism month.
How nice that it’s contained to a month in your country! In 🇨🇦 it runs through to the fall so I’ll say Happy Narcissist Summer.
This is one of my fav interviews. So nice to see it reposted as so many of us could use a laugh and they’re both hilarious.

Department of Education renames June “Title IX Month” in attack on LGBTQ+ equality.
So what about the attacks on women, men and meritocracy by woke zealots? When did they make headlines?

Intelligent critical comments welcome as usual.
A hyperbolic comparison.
In what way? Ian
Brilliant! Can’t thank you enough for this discussion.
