If you don’t value anecdotes, why do you rely on them too (your female judge)? You like to make a lot of statements without much evidence, particularly your overarching narrative that men are being widely victimized and discriminated against.

I read your political “manifesto” and want to correct a few of the false impressions you make in it. Fewer that ten in a thousand women drink during their pregnancy, and not all those who drink will have children with FAS. https://www.thelancet.com/journals/langlo/article/PIIS2214-109X(17)30021-9/fulltext

Most women have abortions with medical (89%), not surgical interventions, and most of those are under 10 weeks. Your inflammatory 22 week example represents .1% of UK annual abortions. https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/abortion-statistics-for-england-and-wales-2021/abortion-statistics-england-and-wales-2021. Yes, it is a shame there are 200K abortions per year in the UK, but the answer is in supportive programs and a more kid-friendly culture. Also, men actually doing their fair share of the housework (no citation needed).

You mention male circumcision but not female circumcision, which is also a cultural practice (and way more barbarous than a properly conducted male circumcision). A big clitoris-shaped oversight.

Women are 3% of the prison population because they commit way less crime, particularly violent crime. Men routinely injure and kill their domestic partners in all countries, and are 97-99% of stalkers, rapists and pedophiles. (https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/violence-against-women) What does your Manifesto do about that?

Lastly, without the vote of the female half of the population, I don’t think your political aspirations will go too far. I suggest correcting that by actually learning about feminism and women’s rights, instead of the continued misogynistic confirmation bias and harvesting your bitter cherries of real or imagined injustices.

Your Welcome,

Clare Lewis

A few final thoughts. My female judge link was a reported story in the media, and I provided the link. That's different from Ms Bindel who routinely quotes people (Cheryl, 19) who may or may not exist (and probably don't). It's a favourite tactic of feminist journalists. Have you not noticed that the alleged words she reports invariably back her arguments? A defining characteristic of Ms Bindel's admirers is gullibility.

Clare, there are so many errors in your comments that it would take me an hour or more to correct them all. So I will simply recommend William Collins's "The Empathy Gap: male disadvantages and the mechanisms of their neglect" (2019) and his blog "The Illustrated Empathy Gap" http://empathygap.uk/ for the truth on almost all the issues you cite. The truth on the remainder can be found on our website http://j4mb.org.uk and more specifically in our manifesto, link here (scroll down) https://j4mb.org.uk/2015-general-election-manifesto/.

I understand the toxic ideology of feminism very well, thank you. It's why I spend so much time raising public awareness about it.

In 2016 the Fawcett Society, https://www.fawcettsociety.org.uk/, a London-based feminist charity, published their report "Sex Equality: State of the Nation" https://www.fawcettsociety.org.uk/sex-equality-state-of-the-nation-2016. The survey they commissioned revealed that only 9 per cent of British women and 4 per cent of British men identified as feminists. Only one in 15 adults in the UK identify as feminists. The geniuses concluded that the UK was a country of ‘hidden’ feminists.

Have a nice day.

There are zero errors in my comments, because they are all backed up by peer-reviewed journals, International organizations, statistics recorded by each country and by a body of evidence which is decades long. They are backed by the actual experts in the subject area. I think I will take that over some random guy’s “blog”. And I am not surprised some women don’t want to label themself a “feminist” when there are ignorant and uneducated men like you, trying to make that difficult. The fault in your logic is that even though a lot of women may no longer use the label “feminist,” that does not mean they are not in favour of, and advocate for, women’s rights and freedoms and a more equal and safe society for women and girls. That is it from me: I can see you are woefully stuck in your little mean echo chamber.

Yawn... not one feminist has ever successfully challenged a statement made by William Collins, including his claim (based on official statistics) that 77% of rape allegations made to the police in the UK are false allegations - from his book "The Empathy Gap" (2019), the ebook edition costs under £5.00. If you read the section it's clear that the 77% figure is a minimum, in my view the real figure is somewhat higher.

Did you not go on to higher education and learn how to do proper research? I think I will go with a credible source, such as the UK Crown Prosecution Service, which states that false allegations are RARE: “Research has shown that false allegations of rape are rare. A CPS report published in 2013 showed that over a 17-month period, there were 5,651 prosecutions for rape and, during the same period, there were 35 prosecutions for making false allegations of rape.” (https://www.cps.gov.uk/publication/cps-data-summary-quarter-4-2019-2020). Just give it up already and go back to your silly men’s rights group.

Clare, thank you for again proving the gullibility of Ms Bindel's supporters, and for prompting me to disprove one of many feminist myths. A recent article from William Collins's website, "The Illustrated Empathy Gap". titled, "Rape Trial Juries and the Erosion of Justice":

http://empathygap.uk/?p=4404

Collins has written 21 artticles on Sexual Assault / Rape:

http://empathygap.uk/?page_id=2244

In his article on Operation Soteria, he outlines the feminist corruption of the CPS, very visible under the execrable feminist (I repeat myself) Alison Saunders when she was Director of Public Prosecutions, but just as bad (albeit less visible) under her successor Max Hill:

http://empathygap.uk/?p=4268

We have often pointed to feminist corruption of the CPS and many other major organizations since we launched over 10 years ago. On our website Campaign for Merit in Business we point to the mountain of evidence showing a causal link between increasing gender diversity on boards and corporate financial decline - as any intelligent person would expect, obviously - the evidence (numerous longitudinal studies, the only sort of study which could show a causal link here) here, I presented it to a House of Commons inquiry in 2012 (scroll down):

William Collins is just a men’s rights activist, he has not been published in any peer reviewed journal, and is a part-time engineer with no recognized expertise or education in the subject area. You are biased and intellectually dishonest. UK official reports and statistics are okay when they agree with you but “corrupt” when they do not. And the fact that similar statistics and findings are echoed the world over goes right over your pea-sized head.

Clare, normally I don't bother to reply in detail to feminists, because it's invariably an act of utter futility. But your comments are very welcome to me because they make me think of so many issues that need to be covered in this comments stream, so I'll make an exception.

1. Do enlighten me on where I've said official reports and stats are corrupt, do you mean the CPS report? I've already linked you to blog pieces about that particular corruption.

2. Thanks for demonstrating with your latest comments that you don't understand the ideological bias of peer-reviewed journals. A male American Masculinities (i.e. feminist-leaning) professor of my acquaintance - he spoke at one of our International Conferences on Men's Issues - was the #1 adviser to a major publisher in relation to their series on Masculinites. He put forward an article from Collins to the publisher, recommending they commission a book. He was fired hours later.

3. I suspect your ignorance extends to the mainstream media (MSM). Globally, the MSM will not publish articles critical of feminism and feminists, with rare exceptions (and ever fewer, as the years roll by). On the other side of the coin we have huge numbers of journalists like Julie B, with decades of articles being published in the MSM, full of questionable claims (to put it mildly). An example is the UK edition of The Spectator, which has published 50+ of Julie's articles over the years. I submitted an ad to go in one weekly printed edition (£7,000+) containing only what researchers know about domestic violence. The female feminist editor refused to print the ad, and refused to explain why. A final thought in this area. If patriarchy existed in the UK, Ms B couldn't have made such a lengthy career as a paid journalist. She'd probably be in prison, hopefully in a cold damp cell with the only reading material being admiring biographies of the peerless Margaret Thatcher, who hated feminists as much as they hated her, with good reason. She only appointed the most talented ministers, almost all men, predictably. Happy days, how I miss them!

4. Wikipedia is crawling with feminists, and my own page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Buchanan_(politician) was started by 'The Vintage Feminist'. So it's biased and misleading, as are all the pages on the MRM and the few on MRAs. I've had no option but to load comments on the Talk page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Mike_Buchanan_(politician).

5. Few feminists have had more media coverage than Laura Bates of the Everyday Sexism Project, author of a number of execrable books including "Men Who Hate Women" in which she libelled a number of MRAs including myself. She won two of our 'Lying Feminist of the Month' awards, while her sister-in-crime Caroline Criado Perez won three. All the awards here https://j4mb.org.uk/2023/02/25/lying-feminists-of-the-month/. My public video challenge of Bates (aka Special Snowflake of The Everyday Whining Project, inaugural member of The Whine Club) is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2Wk_SFlDbw. The super-intelligent and beautiful Elizabeth Hobson, 34 https://j4mb.org.uk/elizabeth-hobson-2-2/ led our political party Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them) http://j4mb.org.uk for 10 months over 2020/21. Her public challenge (when she was party leader) of Special Snowflake is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LISr0bai4Ikhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LISr0bai4Ik.

6. The refusal of platforms extends from peer-reviewed journals and the MSM to real-world platforms. It's verging on impossible to hire venues to host International Conferences on Men's Issues. In 2019 Elizabeth and I gave talks at Cambridge University, and the feminist academics and students (men and women) did all in their power to have us cancelled (which always make me smile when Mrs B complains of being cancelled - she gets more coverage in the average month than all the world's MRAs have collectively got EVER). All the related blog pieces are accessible here https://j4mb.org.uk/2019/06/04/cambridge-university-talks-related-blog-pieces-videos-etc/ but for sheer entertainment value you can't beat the short video (4:32) of a female supporter running after and apprehending the female feminist who milkshaked me outside a pub https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5epds6bs4M. The police did NOTHING to disperse the hostile crowd of men and women barring people from entering the lecture building, and failed to turn up to arrest the milkshaking woman.

7. A final thought on pea-sized heads. If you want to see one, you only need look in the mirror. If you would like to increase the size of your brain and challenge your ridiculous convictions - some implanted by Julie Bindel, presumably, on account of your gullibility - reading William Collins's excellent "The Empathy Gap" (2019) would be a great place to start. Or if videos are more your thing, "The Red Pill" directed by Cassie Jaye. Here it is on Amazon to buy or rent https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=the+red+pill+dvd&crid=LI5ZDMOBEWF8&sprefix=The+red+pill%2Caps%2C199&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_3_12.

Have a good evening.

Hi Julie. Your subtitle starts with:

"There's nothing sweet about older men exploiting young women in prostitution."

You and I both know a more honest subtitle would be:

"There's nothing sweet about young women exploiting older men in prostitution."

Two people engage in a perfectly legal transaction, and the exploited one is the person walking away with a lot of money in exchange for little time and effort? Yeah, righto!!! Nothing more obviously demonstrates female power over men than prostitution, and we shouldn't be surprised that attractive women have exploited that reality since time immemorial, and will be after your cursed ideology has landed in the dustbin of history. The sooner the better, for the sake of men, women and children.

Have a nice day.

Yeah, that young woman Cheryl “exploited” her sugar daddy so much she had to leave her apartment and her school after she told him to take a hike. But you probably didn’t get past the subtitle, did you? These 18 year-old women might be desperate or not know any better, what is the 60 year-old man’s excuse for treating a woman like his property? And if he feels entitled to treat her like his slave, tell me: which one of the two has the power?

Expand full comment

Thanks Clare. I very much doubt "Cheryl" (19) exists outside Bindel's fevered imagination. I read the article in full, it's crammed with the predictable Bindel article elements e.g. unattributed quotations and anecdotes.

"These 18 year-old women might be desperate or not know any better" - what a wonderful statement of women lacking moral agency. In our election manifesto https://j4mb.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/221128-J4MB-manifesto-3.pdf we point to many areas where women are able to commit the most horrendous acts and aren't held properly accountable.

Women routinely get suspended sentences (i.e. no punishment) for crimes that would get men sentenced to YEARS behind bars. One of many examples of this on our website, a woman spared jail by a female judge who told here she'd be going to prison if she were a man:

https://j4mb.org.uk/2019/04/12/female-judge-spares-victoria-parry-30-serial-drink-driver-jail-because-shes-a-woman-and-tells-her-if-shed-been-a-man-it-would-have-been-straight-down-the-stairs-to-prison/

Women can have their unborn children killed at the expense of taxpayers (most income tax is paid by men, although fathers are powerless to stop their unborn children being killed) - women have killed 10+ million unborn children in the UK since the passing of the 1967 Abortion Act - and women poison their unborn children with alcohol or other drugs. Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders are the #1 avoidable cause of mental health incapacitation across the developed worls, and women aren't held accountable. SCANDALOUS!!!

Let's get real, shall we? These "Sugar Babes" are greedy, they can get a lot of money, gifts etc. for little time and effort, and do so very willingly. Money and gifts they couldn't obtain through paid employment. Very few feminists could earn much money (if any) this way, obviously. Maybe the source of feminists' opposition to prostitution (in all its forms, including this) is envy? Although of course radfems - lesbian radfems, in particular - regard all heterosexual sex as rape.

At the 2020 International Conference on Men's Issues http://icmi2020.icmi.info I interviewed Miss Matthews, a delightfully candid and funny 40-something Only Fans lady, along with Elizabeth Hobson https://j4mb.org.uk/elizabeth-hobson-2-2/, the super-intelligent and beautiful 34yo leader of our political party Justice for Men & Boys (and the women who love them) http://j4mb.org.uk at the time. Niels, if this is your idea of brilliant journalism, I feel deeply sorry for you. Every feminist narrative is one or more of the following - a baseless conspiracy theory (e.g. patriarchy), fantasy, lie, delusion or myth.

Julie was a deserving winner of one of our Toxic Feminist of the Month awards in 2015 https://j4mb.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/151017-julie-bindel-toxic-feminist-of-the-month.pdf.
