Julie Bindel’s book is amazing. Smart, thorough, inspiring, and plainly written. Every woman needs to read it. When I’m done, I’m giving it to my 27 year old daughter who is constantly pressured by her peers to “be nice” when men violate her boundaries.
I was compelled to read Dwarkin's work when I took a course in gender studies at York University. It was like swallowing the worst medicine in my life. I found her writing turgid , profoundly anti male and poorly researched. I was particularly nauseated by her insistence that intercourse should take place without the male on top because it was too "threatening" or some such shite.
