This is what keeps getting lost…it is about the women, the safety of women, the rights of women to be free from male violence, nothing else is relevant, it’s all a distraction.

I see so many people get tangled in the reeds in this issue but JB speaks in lightning bolts!

IT’S not about them! It’s about women and the fact that society is failing them. When there is no more VAWG then ‘fill your boot’; but until that day WE NEED OUR OWN SPACES.

Thank you for defending single sex spaces and explaining why we need them!

"If men would stop beating and raping us..." YES! Isn't it just so clear what this is all about when we're demonized for simply standing up for ourselves? We're essentially being told to get back in line and do as we're told! The focus is always on women "behaving" and NEVER men's deplorable centuries-old violence.

Thank you, Julie, for saying what so many women know.

It is worth saying that giving the small number of transwomen the right to use women's safe spaces offers no benefit whatsoever to women. It does introduce a new danger (the possibility of male violence) to every one of us. So no benefit, only danger for all women - including these trans"women" who apparently want to escape male violence while at the same time introducing its possibility where there was none.

Everything trans identifying men want could be gained by having their own spaces - except validation. So what it boils down to is that all women are being put in danger to validate a small number of men's fantasies.

Well sorry guys but the answer is no. Not that you are asking of course.....

Thanks for your brilliantly clear advocacy for women and girls, Julie. Here in Queensland Australia a self-ID bill erasing the distinction between sex and gender has been introduced by the Labor Party. We (mostly women’s groups) have been shut out of consultations but have protested and lodged strong submissions against the bill. The evidence highlighted by you and other UK and Canadian feminists has been really helpful, but we’re told there is no evidence anywhere in the world!

JULIE.. you were superb!

I especially liked when you responded 'I don't care if they (transgender males) are offended.'

And Nicola Sturgeon will be soon discarded onto the trash-heap of history!

Bindel is a hero. thank you for your words of gold. yes, those on the left must hold our noses and support those on the right who are defending women, kids, gays and parents against the cancerous fraud called gender ideology. after this dangerous idea has been exposed as a fraudulant hoax, then we can go back to hating what conservatives do. im even willing to forgive the interviewer, hoping shes gotten over her bullying of poor harry

You hit the nail on the head repeatedly with this. It's not about "transwomen." It's about men, whether or not those men "identity" as women, they ARE men, and must be treated as such for the safety of women, period and end of story.

"There were 15 transgender prisoners in custody in Scotland as of September 2022, the latest period for which data is available – 11 trans women and four trans men. 11 trans women, six are held in the men’s estate and five in the women’s estate. Of the four trans men, one is held in the men’s estate and three in the women’s estate." This same article states that around 10% of transgender women in prison in England and Wales are housed in women's prisons.

If the number of men in woman's prison is around the same for Scotland and England, why is the narrative that Nicola Sturgeon is the main person to blame?
