It seems unfeasible that Martha Spurrier or anyone else could state that trans women are not a threat to 'cis' women, and not the response they'd get. But they don't need to dread or fear anything, that's something for anyone challenging this claim to worry about. They might find themselves being a bit maligned, disciplined, threatened with legal action and acts of violence.
It's patently clear that women are at risk from trans identified men, just as they are from any men. Not all, but some, and some is enough. This doesn't need to be thought about notionally, only. Recorded and investigated incidents of intimidation and violence can be referred to.
Equally unfeasible, is the idea that imprisoning biological males alongside women, on the basis of the former's gender identity, could ever become a reality. When heading toward dystopia, maybe, but not here and now. Unless we've arrived there, of course.
Women prisoners have been attacked, raped, impregnated through consensual and non consensual sex, but the policy continues to stand. What are 'they' waiting for before the single, faint chime of an alarm registers? A woman murdered? Two women murdered? Or does it need to be multiple women murdered?
If that's the case, the female estate needs to swell in number by a whole lot more male prisoners, who one day realised that they were trans after all. There's going to be plenty.
