Thanks Julie for the lovely obituary of Jalna Hanmer. I considered her my friend as well; although we never met in person we exchanged letters (before email) in the 70s or 80s as we were both committed to ending male violence against women and I'm close to her age. Her now silent voice is a great loss to the movement against violence.
