Women around the world are working so hard together, to keep life liveable, if only we got the recognition we deserve progress could be made. Thank you for this brilliant example of women working together for us all.
The acceptance of Jewish leftists is always conditional on them never being able to say “ Israel” without also saying Palestinian. This is antisemitism. Similar to sexism against lesbians who must prove they don’t hate men every time they talk about their need for women. You are saying I am cruel because I asked for a moment of honouring hostages being repeatedly raped. Of course I care about what Palestinians are going through. This comment is about rape of Israeli hostages and murder victims slaughtered by Hamas. Your assumption that if I don’t mention Palestinians in the same paragraph proves I am cruel is antisemitic, and is the dominant antisemitism in feminist circles.
Really Julie? At this time when Hamas terrorists have slaughtered and raped mostly Jewish women. When antisemitism is more pronounced right now than it has ever been in your lifetime. What are you aiming to do with your article? What are you doing with your own feelings of fear of antisemitism? You are blaming the victims right now, the Jewish victims, so you don’t have to feel your own fear. Sound familiar? The thin veil over anti- Israel hate that separates it from antisemitism is dissolving. Your article was fine in 2016. Sending it out now is highly offensive. Think about why you did this, please. Think. And think about how it might make your Jewish readers think. Those who are not ramping up their desperate attempts to be a “good Jew” to escape the hate “ bad Jews” cop from the Left. Think.
Why don't you allow for the possibility that Julie has a range of readers, including Jewish ones, who don't all share your response to the posting of this article? I think Julie is reminding her friends and followers that she has engaged sympathetically with Palestinian, as well as Israeli women, and recognises the complexity of the political situation, including the occupation.
Julie writes respectfully, about strength, unity, women and the conflict - as she has done, with many women in conflict. The subject is women, and the timing is perfect. Thank you, JB.
I can't believe the ethnocentric cruelty of how you can ignore the deaths of thousands who are sporadically killed in Palestine. While we all loudly and emphatically condemn the violent Hamas incursion into Israel where is any reciprocal concern
for the many thousands of Palestinians being bombed, starved, jailed and tortured? You demand sympathy for yourself, but have only sadism for others. The two thousand Palestinian children killed so far don't even register with you.

These women are calling for the death of Jews, Julie.

What a load of tripe!
