I am pretty old now. I was a feminist in my younger life when we were fighting for equal rights and opportunities, and more recently reactivated as our legal rights are being severely eroded.
However I am realising that there were many issues for women that were beneath my radar and I am becoming a stronger feminist because of strong women like Julie. One example is surrogacy. I am ashamed to admit that I never thought twice about it until I heard Julie speaking, and I was stunned to realise how few women were fighting for these babies and mothers. Please open your minds to discover the extent of being a feminist in today’s world ❤️
What equal rights didn't women have after WW2? We could vote, we could drive, we could work any job for which we were qualified, we could own property. I guess the only 'right' we didn't have was the right to indiscriminate abortion. By the way, before my mother was married, she and her unmarried sister were able to apply for a home mortgage at a bank and get it to start their own dressmaking and alteration business. If they were so beaten down, why were they able to get a mortgage from a male loan officer?
'Q: What about heterosexual feminists? Are they not the ones who are being excluded?
A: No. Heterosexuality is extremely well represented in the LGBTQQIA2S+ rainbow alliance. In fact, everyone is included in this alliance except lesbian feminists: there are straight men, straight women, asexuals, aromantics and even trans identified men who claim to be lesbians.'
As a middle-aged het feminist who is frustrated to see the increasing division between lesbian and het women in the gender-critical resistance, I would just like to comment that I am NOT remotely represented by the new misogynist 'rainbow', while plenty of same-sex attracted 'lesbian' women, many who call themselves feminists, are happily signing up to the movement that throws ALL women, including trans widows and the mothers of kids who call themselves trans and demand to be 'affirmed', under the bus. In fact Butler had a great deal to do with getting it off the ground, while Megan Rapinoe, Hannah Gadsby, Ellen Page and other prominent lesbians have given it major impetus and credibility.
This is a men's rights movement. It doesn't particularly harm any group of women or girls. It harms us all equally, if somewhat differently, as a sex class, even those women who support it. And I genuinely believe it will succeed, or fail, depending on how much division it can sow between women.
Well, you're reaping the fruits of the division and hate you sowed, have fun. As a normal woman, I was against feminism, which seemingly celebrated all the male qualities while scorning the feminine ones, your support for feminism is what has brought about this dysfunctional society.
Concise and to the point, and the final QA a gem among gems:
Q: So are you saying that feminism should exclude everyone but women and girls? Isn’t that a very narrow view?
A: Only if you consider the issues that affect women and girls globally to be narrow, and if you consider a movement that represents three-and-a-half-billion people to be marginal. It is odd that this argument is not used about any other major political movement.
This also puts to mind a superb interview with you yesterday, in which you make the same point in trademark pithy Bindel style. For anyone who hasn’t seen it, here’s a link: https://youtu.be/VhfzkjJZheY?si=KmXjckTt99kBpPbN
The “lesbian” dating app you’re thinking of is called “Her”, Hinge is a mainstream app(although it probably also bans lesbians for saying they want biological women, lol)
Yeah they do!!! I’ve seen someone on twitter (sry can’t remember who) sharing screenshots about being banned from HER for stating in her bio that she’s only interested in biological women, no tw etc
And the rampant hostility towards women and feminism on the part of the LGBTQ gets worse all the time. I've been familiar with these trends for a time, but even I was shocked when a Queer Majority piece praising incels showed up on my facebook feed. How could anyone think that inviting these thoroughly misogynist men with a proven track record of violence into the fold, as it were, was a good idea for women in the movement?
The feminists are just reaping the rewards of their own destructive anti-male policies. Have fun dealing with the fags and trannies who are actively destroying women now. As you sow, so shall ye reap.
You don't even realize that it was your stupid feminism that paved the way for this trans idiocy. When feminism really geared up in the 1970s, I told my husband that I didn't think women would be stupid enough to follow it, unfortunately, a good number of them were stupid enough to go along. Feminism has helped destroy men and the family, good job.

How ‘narrow’ can feminism be if it includes half the world’s population. Seems far reaching to me.
Thanks, Julie. On target, as ever.

Thank you so much Julie!
thank you
Thank you!

Listen to the Lesbian Project podcast Episode 6 with Lucy Masoud where she describes her experience on Hinge.
My point is that Hinge is primarily a straight app that allows lesbians, it’s not marketed primarily to lesbians

fags and trannies are the actual victims. Feminist leadership get to buy mansion with their non-profits profits.
Sure the profits are great, but the fags and trannies are not victims of anything except their own depravity and mental illness.
