Listen to this debate on Woman's Hour between me and 'the lesbian Rupert Murdoch', in December 2018, and decide for yourself. Also, please note how fair and decent Jane Garvey, ex presenter, is
Julie thinks. Linda emotes. Trans allies have only 3 strategies: disrupt, divert and emote. They are not capable of addressing reasonable doubt with rational thought. Being willing and able to do so is foundational to a fair and just society.
Absolutely brilliant, Julie. Oh how I miss Jane Garvey. Linda Riley? Yeuch! She has worsened over the years, from bad to bloody appalling, her and her buddies Kate Osborne and Nancy Kelley.
Great debate (Julie wiping the floor with Linda Riley added bonus). As others have said the contrast in quality between Jane Garvey's excellent presenting skills and the dross that WH have offered in recent years is stark. Can't believe this was only 2018. Feels like a lifetime.
Try as you might - and please don't ever stop trying, Julie - small-minded, captured, and out of touch with reality people like Linda Riley have been indoctrinated to place the needs and rights of adult human females that are lesbians behind those of men.
I'm not sure if she's being willfully stupid or is afraid of being cancelled, but... her opinions couldn't be more off course and not based on facts or reality.
She represents all the limp-minded lesbians who think it's ok to give up women's rights to men who inherently hate women.
Thank you for fighting for us lesbians, even the lesbians who don't realize how much they need you. 💛
Embarrassing to listen to the Linda Riley obstinantly and obtusely just refuting every argument Julie puts forward without actually provided any intelligent counter-argument herself. What a rout - but she did to herself. Also lovely to hear Jane Garvey again, she is much missed.
I find the objections to Julie's position so strange. As a heterosexual chap I don't find myself attracted to most woman I encounter, nor do I expect most women who encounter me to feel any attraction. In other words most of us are rejecting most people we encounter all the time. Yet let this happen across sexualities, eg by lesbians and some people like Linda Riley are suddenly getting all worked up about it.
And the problems are different in sport. Here the rejection needn't be about attraction, but fairness, as people born with male muscles, usually longer male legs etc retain these and so have unfair advantages in sports. So here its fairness.
Isn't all this reasonably obvious, or am I missing something? Ian

"Kick start her own vibrator" I remember that line!
Julie: witty, controlled, articulate.
Linda: barely able to frame a cogent thought.
I think both Jenni Murray and Jane Garvey were pushed out/chose to leave because they wouldn't board the Trans Train.
Thank you for that. Woman’s Hour used to be really good!
Linda Riley.
One more champion for the normalization of male perversions.

Linda’s not the brightest button in the jar, is she?
