A country’s allowing a person to change his or her documents’ description of their sex - based on self determination - also thereby allows for a lot of fraud - as Julie Bindel described. Simply on that basis, it is a bad idea. So, it is the best idea to live as you like, but not to permit changes to your sex in legal documents. I do not understand why it so important to autogynephilic men to have their documents changed to legally indicate they have chosen to present themselves as women?
