Yes, capitalism needs lots of workers. That's where surplus labor comes in. The more workers the lower the wages as workers must compete with each other for every available job. It's "dog eat dog." Those you can't find adequate jobs to live on are often forced to join the military as the only option for a livelihood; sometimes a death sentence. Under male supremacist so called "communism" it's the same agenda. Both regimes urge "hero" mothers to produce as many offspring as possible. This ties in with traditional male imposed birth control. Under male supremacy the means of birth control and population control has, from time immemorial, been war, famine, neglect, infanticide and disease. Many people don't like it when I mention this traditional method of birth control. I'm familiar with Leta S. Hollingworth's excellent article "Social Devices for Impelling Women to Bear and Rear Children." So nice to hear you mention her. In 2009 I edited, laid out and designed that article for distribution by Red Stockings. As far as having children is concerned I know many women long to have a child to nurture, grandmothers included. I so appreciate my own grandchildren even though I'm not biologically related. I see other women who don't want to have children, but who nevertheless are undeniably nurturing, just directing that nurturing urge elsewhere to protect battered women, rape victims and others in need of supportive concern. Maternal to a fault though they might hotly and vehemently deny it.
