My podcast series, Three Doors Down, explores the murder of Nikki Allan and her mother's 30-year fight for justice. Listen to my interview about the case with Jane Garvey on Times Radio last week
Really compelling podcast, Julie. A shocking story of police failure, misogyny and class prejudice. Thank you for bringing this story to wider public attention.
Great interview, Julie. I listened to the podcast as it was released. It was never going to be an easy listen, but Sharon's strength and commitment to getting justice for her daughter, shone through like a beacon. If only the police were as assiduous in cases of violence against women and girls, as they are in policing thought and opinion, we might have a force we could trust. Keep up the good work xx
Are you proposing to cover the Nicola Bulley case in the near future? I do not believe the coroner's 'accidental death' verdict. Personally I believe that Nikki lost her life as a result of foul play. Many thousands of people across the UK and worldwide share my views, the problem is, no-one is talking publicly about her. It's almost as if she never existed. I would be more than happy to upgrade to a paid membership in order to access this content.
Thanks JB, fascinating podcast - hard to say I enjoyed it, because the tale is just so awful and tragic.
However, I really really enjoy the brilliant beam of light you shine in the ugly face of male violence and vile child predators - thank you, never stop! X
Thank goodness for Julie and women like her!
