Gosh, I've always been "straight" but I identify hugely with Richie, I was very gender non-conforming - I had a very late adolescence, so at 15 I was still very 'childlike' at that time, I was bullied relentlessly in my early teens and called so many homophobic slurs at high school, that's why I still hate the Q word, beaten up by kids that were much bigger than me, because it was easy for cowards like them. I wonder how I would've been in the 80's if this present insane culture was around then.
