I find it interesting how feminists have framed and re-framed the issue of prostitution. One side has sought to "de-stigmatize" women in prostitution and in doing so, has put them in more precarious situations. To our horror, society's opprobrium upon the act of paying to rape someone is slowly being lifted, as people seem to think sex work only describes people who have an OnlyFans account. On the other side, feminists such as Mickey and Julie are fighting against a predatory system that has always destroyed women's lives, if not destroyed women full stop. I'd like to learn more about organizations and charities that work to help women exit the sex trade and how the public can help with this?

It's madness that Sex Industry Abolitionists are the minority. I was debating with a sex work advocate academic a few months ago (and it must be noted and stressed that sex industry abolitionists are absolute advocates of people in the sex industry and that sex work is indeed work, most likely the hardest work there is), she didn't like very much. She couldn't combat my logic. Eventually, the topic changed to toxic masculinity and how it must be eradicated. I said, cheekily: "If there were no toxic masculinity, there would be no work for the sex workers." She couldn't respond. Stone cold loving logic. Thanks!
