The cowardice of Jon Ronson
His self-congratulatory chat with fellow smug circle jerk crew member Adam Buxton reveals the moral bankruptcy of men who refuse to speak out against gender ideology
In 2022, Jon Ronson presented the first season of the podcast, Things Fell Apart. It was about the modern day culture wars, which of course included disagreements over transgender ideology. In a conversation last week to promote the second season, with actor and comedian Adam Buxton, Ronson explained how the series came about.
“I was obsessed with a mutual friend of ours and his collapse…a brilliant comedy writer who got too embroiled in the culture wars, and it completely took over his life, to the extent he lost all of his work and his family, and I was watching this happening… When the BBC came to me with this idea, I probably wouldn’t have done it if I hadn’t already been obsessed with it,” said Ronson. He was referring to Graham Linehan, with whom he has had a long-running public disagreement over ‘trans rights’.
