But surely he could publish his lecture on a website of his own and students could read them for themselves? And have seminars over Zoom with those who want to have honest discussion?

And what does the University lecturers union have to say about this?

I don't see that the disrupters have to win. Or he simply gives his lectures over Zoom and cuts out anyone who tries to disrupt. Ian

Thanks for all of you who have said you appreciated my point. There are two background points involved:

1) University staff are often highly capable people whose choice of being in a university is a choice of less money than they would earn in the private sector.

2) Some make this choice because they are obsessional people who can use universities to live their obsessionality.

3) Trans is the fashionable area for today's obsessionals the way recovered memory syndrome was in the 1990s.

The purpose of “trans” communication is purely to deflect and confuse, and avoid at all costs examination of men mimicking women.

It has no other purpose.

From the little I’ve heard of him (this and one other, longer video), it appears he’s explaining what the law IS, not advocating for what it should be, in which case, the children should be grateful for gaining useful knowledge (even if they’re outraged by it) rather than shooting the messenger. But of course that would require having brains in their heads.

Meanwhile, from the first video of his I saw (explaining law on this matter), as a Canadian I can’t help but think “Lucky Britain”! (Though I’m confused, is this law in Britain or all of UK?).

I have noticed a lot of people in the US referring to this sort of “protest” and cancelation etc. as being in the past, generally referring to 2023 as being “the end of it” and already opining that “no one will believe how bad it was.” In Canada we are still deeply steeped in this fucking madness, but if it’s still going on on Terf Island I think the Americans are deluded.

I've discovered one reason why people who call themselves trans are protesting at Professor Foran. One reason is he is prepared to discuss calmly with a fantasied bad object, i.e. Professor Kathleen Stock. They were not however talking about trans but about assisted dying which both Michael Foran and Kathleen Stock are against. They were discussing their opposition to it. Ian

Well at least these arrogant students have got me reading Michael Foran's new book "Sex, Gender Identity and the Law" that his disrupted Keble College lecture series was to be about.

It's horrendously expensive (over £30) both in hardback and on Kindle--where at least you can read a free sample.

By the Associate Professor of Law who gave expert evidence in the landmark Supreme Court case brought by For Women Scotland, which defined the meaning of "sex" in the Equality Act 2010; and who first advised the UK government which blocked self-ID in Scotland.

Mystifying why students would pay so much to remain stubbornly ignorant, not to say bigoted. It evidently makes them feel even more superior.
